Guidance Built on Understanding

Because “little children” are very important in God’s Kingdom, First United Methodist Church of Upland Preschool seeks to have the best staff, educational resources, and learning environment to enhance their development.

We strive to provide an anti-bias, multicultural curriculum, within a Christian atmosphere. It is our goal to identify and meet the individual child’s needs at their stage of development, creating a program to prepare them for successful participation in their world, providing them with the basis for a purposeful and satisfying life, and doing this in a manner that will help each child develop their mental, physical, emotional and social potential.

Our enrollment is open to children ages 2 years, 6 months old to 5 years of age. Classes are held from 8:45 – 11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday (with T – Th, M-W-F or 5-day enrollments) and 12:45 – 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. 

Optional “Early Start” 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and “Lunch Bunch” 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. programs are offered as well. 

First United Methodist Church of Upland Preschool has been a proud recipient of the national award for quality. We have been accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. NAEYC, Washington, DC State Lic# 360900330.

We Are So Proud

Through the  past 17 years we have touched the lives of many children and their families.  Visitors often ask  “Where are our Families from?”  We decided to figure this out and were surprised to see the range of distance families come to enrich their children through our program.  The results of the study are below.  Thank you families for allowing us the privilege of watching your children grow and experiencing life through their eyes.    We strive to make their first school experience one filled with wonder and discovery.
